CARING FOR YOUR PUMP!

USING THE SYSTEM – To avoid blockages and damage to the pump, the following items should NOT be placed into the system:

Glass, metal, gravel, sand, coffee grinds, seafood shells, socks, rags or cloths, plastic sanitary napkins or tampons, disposable diapers, kitty litter, explosives, flammable materials, lubricating oil, grease, cooking oil, paint, strong chemicals, gasoline or diesel, stormwater runoff.

WHEN YOU LEAVE FOR THE WINTER or go away for a month or more, the District advises you to run two full bathtubs of clean water through your system.  This will ensure that there is no waste laying in your line to create a build up of H2S, or Hydrogen Sulfide, in the sewer lines.

Don’t forget to keep your control box locked to prohibit tampering.

IF YOU ARE TAKING DOWN YOUR HOUSE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM THE DISTRICT OFFICE.  UNTIL YOU NOTIFY THE OFFICE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL SEWER BILL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.  E-mail SWconservancy@gmail.com

IF YOU ARE BUILDING A NEW HOME, DOING A MAJOR REMODEL AND ADDING BATHROOMS, OR RELOCATING WHERE YOUR PUMP CONNECTS TO YOUR HOUSE, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LINE INSPECTED BEFORE BURYING.  IF NOT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RETRENCH THE LINE SO AN INSPECTION CAN TAKE PLACE.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

District Update (2/19/2011)

The South-West Lake Maxinkuckee Conservancy District begins at the eastern edge of Venetian Village, and runs west along the shoreline up to the Town of Culver’s corporation line, near the Chadwick Shores condominiums.
