CARING FOR YOUR PUMP!

USING THE SYSTEM – To avoid blockages and damage to the pump, the following items should NOT be placed into the system:

Glass, metal, gravel, sand, coffee grinds, seafood shells, socks, rags or cloths, plastic sanitary napkins or tampons, disposable diapers, kitty litter, explosives, flammable materials, lubricating oil, grease, cooking oil, paint, strong chemicals, gasoline or diesel, stormwater runoff.

WHEN YOU RETURN FOR THE SUMMER! Please flush the pump with at least 45 gallons of fresh, clean water by filling a bathtub and then letting it drain.  The pump should activate when the tub is draining.  Do this at least twice.

Don’t forget to keep your control box locked to prohibit tampering.

IF YOU ARE TAKING DOWN YOUR HOUSE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM THE DISTRICT OFFICE.  UNTIL YOU NOTIFY THE OFFICE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL SEWER BILL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.  E-mail SWLMCD.CONNECT@yahoo.com

IF YOU ARE BUILDING A NEW HOME, OR RELOCATING WHERE YOUR PUMP CONNECTS TO YOUR HOUSE, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LINE INSPECTED BEFORE BURYING.  IF NOT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RETRENCH THE LINE SO AN INSPECTION CAN TAKE PLACE.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

District Update (2/19/2011)

The South-West Lake Maxinkuckee Conservancy District begins at the eastern edge of Venetian Village, and runs west along the shoreline up to the Town of Culver’s corporation line, near the Chadwick Shores condominiums.
